Written by technicians, not copywriters
Every guide here comes out of jobs we actually run across Oklahoma: air conditioners that quit in August, roofs that leak after a hail spring, refrigerators that work on shore power but not propane, slide-outs that stall halfway, and water lines that split because a rig was winterised in a hurry. The aim is to tell you what really fails, how to tell one cause from another, what a fair repair costs, and where the honest line sits between a job you can do in a driveway and one that needs a technician.
Oklahoma conditions change the advice
Generic RV advice written for mild climates does not survive here. Summer roof temperatures cook lap sealant and shrink EPDM membranes. Hail dents air-conditioner shrouds and cracks vent lids. Swings from 100°F afternoons to freezing nights work fittings loose in freshwater lines and water heaters. Red dirt clogs condenser coils, and rodents move into stored units over winter. The maintenance intervals we publish are set against those conditions rather than a manufacturer's best-case schedule.
New guides twice a week
We publish two articles a week, alternating between deep repair walkthroughs and local guides for specific communities across the Tulsa metro, the Oklahoma City metro and Payne County. If a topic you need is missing, call (405) 724-6195 — the questions owners ask on the phone are where most of these articles start.
